Khaberni - In terms of tax case settlements, the cabinet decided in its session held on Wednesday, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, to approve the settlement of 1583 outstanding cases between taxpayers and the Income and Sales Tax Department, as well as between taxpayers and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority; in accordance with the recommendations of the specialized committee assigned to study these settlements based on the regulating legislations.
The decision was made to stimulate economic activities and ensure their sustainability, and to enable those involved to rectify their tax statuses.
