AlSafadi confirms the priority of establishing a ceasefire in Gaza

Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Al-Safadi affirmed that establishing a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is a shared priority for both Jordan and the Netherlands, emphasizing the need to bring more humanitarian aid into the area to alleviate the suffering of civilians.

Al-Safadi said during joint press statements with the Dutch Foreign Minister David Van Vliet, in the capital Amman, that Jordan continues to work with its international partners to end the war on Gaza and ensure the effective and safe delivery of aid.

On the bilateral front, Al-Safadi mentioned that Jordanian-Dutch relations are continuously evolving, noting that the Netherlands is the largest importer of Jordanian goods in Europe, and that cooperation between the two countries includes areas of education, tourism, and trade, indicators that reflect the depth of bilateral relations.

He explained that the meeting with his Dutch counterpart comes within the framework of seeking to expand the horizons of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, expressing Jordan’s aspiration to enhance the existing partnership and open new areas for cooperation, alongside joint efforts in promoting regional security and stability.

Al-Safadi also highlighted the significant role that the Netherlands plays in supporting developmental projects in Jordan, affirming the importance of continuing this cooperation to achieve mutual interests and serve sustainable development.
