The widely circulated clip showed a snake sneaking into a small nest and coiling around the chicks one by one, while the mother screamed and hovered around the nest in a desperate attempt to save her young. She then intervened and grabbed the snake's head in her mouth to pull it away, but her strength was not enough to fend it off, before finally succumbing to helplessness as she watched her offspring die before her.
