Khaberni - Last evening, a British television station aired a program about the changes that artificial intelligence is bringing to the job market, using an AI-generated program host instead of a real journalist.

The host, named Aisha Ghaban, emphasized that "artificial intelligence will affect everyone's lives in the coming years. Some will lose their jobs. Call center employees? Customer service staff? Perhaps even television presenters like myself."

She didn't reveal her true nature until the end of the program, stating "I do not exist" and explaining that she is a program host created by artificial intelligence for British television.

She added, "I was never on Earth to cover this topic. Artificial intelligence generated my image and voice," while she appears in different places in the documentary.

The documentary, titled "Will Artificial Intelligence Take My Job?", delves into the transformations that AI will bring to the job market in various sectors, especially music, fashion, medicine, and law.

The documentary was broadcast by Channel 4 on British public television as part of the investigative program "Dispatches".

Louisa Compton, the head of media at the station, said, "Channel 4 will not regularly utilize an AI-generated host."

She added, "On the contrary, our priority (...) is to maintain quality journalism that is verified, unbiased, and reliable, something that AI cannot provide."

She continued, stating that this experiment serves as "a helpful reminder of AI's potential capacity to negatively impact, and how easily it can deceive the public with content that they cannot verify by any means."

Previously, AI-generated hosts have appeared on television stations in several countries, notably India and Kuwait.

Since 2018, Xinhua, the official Chinese news agency, has been presenting news bulletins using digital versions of presenters.
