Khaberni - French Paris Saint-Germain swept its host Bayer Leverkusen with a score of 7-2, in an exciting match on Tuesday evening, as part of the third round of the league stage of the Champions League.

Willian Batcho and Desire Doue "doubled," and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes, Ousmane Dembele, and Vitinha scored the goals for the Parisian giant in the minutes 7, 41, 44, 45+3, 50, 66, and 90.

Alex Garcia scored the two goals for the German team in the 38th and 54th minutes.

Both teams completed the match with fewer players after Robert Andrich, a midfielder for Bayer Leverkusen, was sent off in the 33rd minute, and Ukrainian defender Ilya Zabarnyi, a PSG player, was sent off in the 37th minute.

PSG continued its winning streak in the Champions League, achieving a perfect score of 9 points in the lead after sweeping Italian Atalanta with a score of 4-0 at the Parc des Princes in the first round, and defeating Barcelona with a score of 2-1 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Montjuïc, Catalonia.

As for Bayer Leverkusen, its score froze at two points in 27th place among 36 teams, after draws against Danish Copenhagen and Dutch PSV Eindhoven, and it will visit Benfica in Portugal in the fourth round, in early November.

As for Paris Saint-Germain, the titleholder, it is preparing for a tough test and a classic match that has been repeated often in recent years when it hosts six-time European champion Bayern Munich at its stadium, Parc des Princes. The last time, in 2020, Bayern clinched the title against Paris Saint-Germain itself.
