Khaberni - The Mafraq Water Administration carried out several projects for drilling and rehabilitating artesian wells, and extending water transport lines, aimed at improving the water situation in the prefecture.
The Director of Operations and Maintenance at "Mafraq Water," Engineer Abdullah Alimat, stated that the administration has drilled and rehabilitated 3 artesian wells in the areas of Sama Al-Sarhan and Jabir Al-Sarhan, to increase water quantities and enhance its delivery to subscribers, noting that the workshops of the Water Authority drilled a well in Jabir "Al-Hudud" area, and another in the Simea area "Simea Well 3".
He mentioned, in a statement to the Jordanian News Agency (Petra) today, Tuesday, that the Yarmouk Water Company drilled a new well replacing the old one in the Sama Al-Sarhan area "Well No. 6", confirming that these wells contribute to providing about 200 cubic meters of water per hour, to feed the Simea water station and enhance the water situation in Qasbat Mafraq and Al-Sarhan district.
Alimat added that "Yarmouk Water" extended some lines to enhance the water situation in several areas, including the King Abdullah II Suburb, which contributed to improving water supply to the subscribers.
He explained that the company launched several projects for urgent and emergency maintenance worth 100,000 Dinars, in addition to sewage projects of the same value.
