Khaberni - Al Ahli Club of Jordan has decided not to participate in the professional basketball league, at a time when reports suggest that the Orthodox Club might also apologize.
The club stressed in an extensive statement today, Tuesday, that its decision is not considered a withdrawal, but a responsible stance aimed at protecting the sport from further decline and ensuring a fair and professional sporting environment, according to its description.
The club justified its decision with reasons related to the organization of the competition, most notably: the inability of the instructions to rise to the level of men's league, and the inappropriateness of the tournament's start timing, as the clubs could not contract players or prepare themselves.
The club also pointed out the lack of financial support and the unfair distribution of it, and the absence of vision in developing age groups.
The club criticized the decision to increase the number of foreign players and considered it an injustice to the local player.
The club also criticized the absence of sponsors from the championship, the lack of a security plan, the loss of the game's family identity, along with other reasons.
The club called for a consultative meeting that includes clubs, supporting and governmental entities, and the creation of a media and marketing plan, and the formation of a permanent joint committee between the union and the clubs.
