Khaberni - The management of the International Islamic Arab Bank carried out a mock evacuation exercise on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the bank's management building. This exercise demonstrates the bank's commitment to the highest public safety standards, ensuring the preservation of lives and property, and fostering complete awareness in the event of fires or any potential dangers (God forbid). The seven-story building was evacuated under the supervision of the bank's public safety teams and in cooperation with the Civil Defense Directorate in Amman within two minutes and fifty-five seconds, achieving a hundred percent success rate.
Mr. Iyad Al-Asali, General Manager of the International Islamic Arab Bank, commented on the evacuation drill stating that the purpose of the mock evacuation is to increase awareness and enhance the level of security and safety for the bank's employees in the event of an occurrence (God forbid), reaffirming that the management has a duty to provide all necessary security and safety means in the workplace for all employees, making them feel secure and enhancing their work performance and contribution. He expressed his admiration for the level of seriousness and commitment demonstrated by the bank employees in making this trial successful, adding that the bank's management gives special attention to all safety requirements, especially fire-fighting equipment, emergency exits, alarm systems, and all safety equipment that must be available in banks according to the best international standards and the requirements and conditions of the Civil Defense.
It is noted that the International Islamic Arab Bank regularly conducts evacuation drills in main buildings and some bank branches, adhering to the standards set by the Civil Defense and the plans developed and implemented by the bank’s public safety teams.
