The amount was part of the proceeds from selling a property in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai Emirate (and she presented documents indicating this).
The spokesperson confirmed that an investigative team from the criminal investigation department began investigating the case, where they managed to locate the hiding place of the accused early this morning, raided it, and arrested him. He confessed during the interrogation to stealing the amount. The investigative team was able to recover one million six hundred thousand UAE Dirhams, and investigations and searches are ongoing for the remainder of the amount.
