Barcelona Will Not Enter the Winter Mercato

Khaberni - Spanish media reported that Barcelona is headed towards an unexpected move in the upcoming winter mercato.

As newspaper clarified that Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, announced during the general assembly of club members, that the club will not make any signings in the 2025-2026 winter transfer market.
It added: "Despite the injuries some of the players faced, such as Gavi, Laporta confirmed that the club will continue with its current plan without making changes to the lineup."

Furthermore, the report mentioned that goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen is looking to move to another club on loan during the winter transfer period.

It continued: "Ter Stegen aims to regain his physical fitness and participate regularly in matches, which increases his chances of being with the German national team in the upcoming World Cup."

It concluded: "This decision by Barcelona reflects its strategy in maintaining team stability and focusing on the current players, while considering the aspirations of those players who might seek to get more playing minutes."
