Khaberni - Media reports confirmed that Manchester City has shown great interest in signing midfielder Arda Guler during the upcoming winter transfer period.
The Turkish account Fener Ajans, quoting the Spanish newspaper Defensa Central, reported that coach Pep Guardiola is looking to strengthen his midfield line, and sees Guler as an ideal option due to his high technical skills and his ability to adapt to the fast and dynamic style of play that Manchester City relies on.
It indicated that the Real Madrid administration confirmed that Guler is not for sale under any circumstances, as the royal club sees the young Turkish player as an essential part of its future project, especially after the departure of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
It added: "Arda Guler, who joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2023 with a contract extending until 2029, has become one of the key elements in coach Xabi Alonso's lineup, where he has participated in many matches and scored crucial goals."
She continued: "In a recent interview, Guler expressed his happiness with his presence in Real Madrid, emphasizing the good relationship he has with his teammates, especially Kylian Mbappe, and stressed that he is ready to play in any position requested by the coach, even if it is as a goalkeeper. He also mentioned his ambition to win the UEFA Champions League with the royal club."
She concluded: "Based on this information, it seems that Guler will remain at Real Madrid in the coming period, and there will be no potential transfer in January 2026, as the royal club is currently focused on developing its young players, and considers Guler one of the most prominent talents it relies on for the future."
