Khaberni - The University of Arkansas in Little Rock expelled a law professor because of comments she made on social media about the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on September 10th.
Law professor Felicia Branch is apparently the first academic in law to be dismissed due to comments on social media about Kirk, whose assassination at an event at Utah Valley University shocked the nation and sparked debates about political violence.
According to the American Association of University Professors, more than 50 university professors have been dismissed or disciplined due to comments about Kirk.

So far, a comment from Branch has not been obtained. Colin Crawford, the dean of the law school at the university told Reuters on Monday that Branch was dismissed "for some reason" but he refused to provide further comments.
Branch joined the faculty in July and managed a program that assisted low-income taxpayers' law students.
She was suspended from work on September 16 while the university was investigating her social media posts.
