Khaberni - On behalf of Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, the Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Monem Al-Oudat, sponsored the ceremony announcing the winners of the National Integrity Index Award in its second session for 2024-2025, which measures the extent of compliance of ministries and institutions with national integrity standards including (rule of law, accountability, justice and equal opportunities, good governance, transparency).
The Director General of the Government Procurement Department, Engineer Mahmoud Hashem Khalifat expressed his happiness with the Government Procurement Department's first-place win for the second consecutive time and said that this achievement is proof of the department's sustainable operations and governance of its procedures through updating legislations related to government tenders and procurement according to the best global practices to ensure the reduction of some processes that contribute to improving the business environment and increasing transparency and accountability within an institutional framework that governs the matrix of authorities and relations with partners and delivering the highest levels of service by efforts of qualified staff who serve as a tool to implement the outputs of the public sector modernization vision.
Khalifat mentioned that the National Integrity Index launched by the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission is considered a comprehensive compass for guiding state institutions towards applying national integrity standards and measuring their compliance with these standards, and the extent to which they provide a transparent and fair institutional environment that contributes to creating an environment against corruption within precise and strict international standards based on scientific indicators and objective measurement tools, and it reflects the institutional culture and behavior of the employees, and the effectiveness of control tools in creating a state of competitiveness among these entities to achieve the highest results within the National Integrity Index.
Khalifat thanked the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Engineer Maher Hamdy Abu Al-Samn, for his continuous support to the Government Procurement Department in its efforts to transition to electronic administration in procurement processes and support for the construction sector.
He also thanked the president and members of the board of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, the director of the Hayat Center Ra'sid and the Rashid Transparency Center, and compliance officers at the Government Procurement Department.
He also expressed his gratitude and pride in the department's employees for their efforts and added that this award serves to motivate the performance of individuals and institutions, and it helps to establish a culture of creativity and excellence. It also sharpens our determination to do more work and giving to achieve our national goals to serve our beloved Jordan and our wise Hashemite leadership.
