Khaberni - Lt. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, visited the Royal Supply and Transport Directorate today, Monday.
Lt. Gen. Al-Hunaiti listened to a briefing by the director of Supply and Transport about the duties and tasks performed by the directorate, the progress of operational, logistical, and training affairs, praising the high professionalism characterized by its personnel which contributes to supplying the formations and units of the armed forces with their necessary and essential needs, achieving the highest levels of efficiency and readiness.
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff emphasized the necessity of continuing the important humanitarian role, which includes providing the Jordanian field hospitals in Gaza Strip, Nablus, and the surgical stations in Jenin and Ramallah with medical aids, in addition to transferring relief materials to a number of brotherly Arab countries.
In a related context, Lt. Gen. Al-Hunaiti visited the Special Royal Guard Command, and was received by the commander of the guard.
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff listened to a military briefing about the tasks and duties performed by the guard, the progress of operational, training, and logistical affairs, and the future plans implemented to reach the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
Lt. Gen. Al-Hunaiti reviewed the stages of construction of a number of administrative buildings and the level of development and modernization achieved by the Special Royal Guard, praising the efficiency and excellence of its personnel and their high professionalism in executing the assigned duties.
Lt. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti concluded his tour with a visit to the Jordan Light Vehicle Manufacturing (JLVM) company, affiliated with the Jordanian Center for Design and Development (JODDB), and was received by the chairman of the center's board, the deputy general manager of the center, and the company manager.
Lt. Gen. Al-Hunaiti listened to a briefing about the company's role in designing, developing, and manufacturing light and armored multipurpose vehicles, offering advanced tactical solutions that meet the high efficiency and effectiveness needs of the armed forces and security agencies in terms of performance and cost.
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff toured the company's workshops and reviewed a number of locally modified and developed vehicles, prepared to keep pace with the requirements of modern military operations, expressing his pride in the level of technological progress and innovation achieved by the Jordanian defense industries, which embody the visions of modernization and development adopted by the armed forces to keep up with the rapidly evolving technological developments in the field of military industries, and providing and harnessing capabilities in an optimal way to build an integrated defensive system in various conditions and tasks.
A number of senior officers of the armed forces attended the visits.
