Khaberni - Poet Tamer Hussein defended his rights and the rights of the creators of the song "Halim," which was meant to be included in artist Mohamed Fouad's new album, expressing his displeasure with the leak of the song, and affirming that he did not assign the song to any party, neither the artist nor the producer, which he considers a violation of the rights of the creators.
Tamer wrote on his official Facebook account: "There is a song called Halim, written by me, which was a part of Mohamed Fouad's album, but it was not assigned to Mohamed Fouad, nor to the producer."
Tamer Hussein asked in his post: "Why should the song be leaked and the efforts of its makers wasted?," insisting, "Those who worked on the song are not to blame for the ongoing dispute, and if there’s any upset between the artist and the producer, the creators are not involved in the matter."
Tamer Hussein concluded his post with a direct message to Mohamed Fouad, saying: "I hope the respected artist, whom I love and value for his significant legacy, will exclude me personally from any side discussions in his issue with the producer. You are the one who decides your steps and determines your relationships with people. I'm really not involved and I wish you all the best."
Details of Mohamed Fouad's crisis with the production company
Tamer Hussein's statements came after a recent crisis between Mohamed Fouad and a production company occurred. After contracting with the company to produce a new music album consisting of 12 songs, the songs penned by several poets and composers, including Ramy Gamal, Tamer Hussein, Aziz El Shafei, and others, were selected. However, Fouad suddenly decided to change these songs and choose others, which led the company to reject his actions due to the large losses it incurred, thus terminating the agreement between both parties. Consequently, the album went to singer Omar Kamal, who has fully recorded the album's songs and is preparing to release it soon, only to be surprised by the leaking of some of those songs voiced by Mohamed Fouad.
