Khaberni - In her first comment on the controversy that arose after announcing her recent marriage, director Inas El Degheidy broke her silence to clarify her point of view, rejecting the criticisms she faced for her engagement at this stage of her life, emphasizing that marriage should not be measured by age but rather by human needs and genuine emotions.
El Degheidy said in press statements on the sidelines of her first official appearance with her husband, businessman Ahmed Abdel Monem, at an art event: “Very strange people, why do they link marriage to age only? Why not link it to humanity? I've lived fighting all my life, and at the end I gave in and wanted to get married, honestly, I needed someone in my life as a spouse.”
Inas El Degheidy emphasized that the relationship between a man and a woman is deeper than our superficial understanding of marriage, stressing that some people misunderstand the meaning of marriage and manhood, and reduce the relationship between a man and a woman to superficial aspects, while she believes that the true meaning of human partnership is much deeper.
