Khaberni - The Eastern Military Region thwarted the smuggling of a large amount of drugs loaded onto guided balloons with primitive devices early this Monday morning. The balloons and their cargo were intercepted and brought down within Jordanian territory after being detected at two different locations by the border guard forces in coordination with security agencies and the drug enforcement administration. The seized items were turned over to the relevant authorities for necessary actions.
