Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced that the Criminal Security Sector succeeded in arresting two citizens from the Ministry of Defense, who committed a robbery by using violence in Hawalli Governorate, as part of the ongoing security efforts made by the Ministry to control outlaws and combat all types of crime.

The Ministry stated in a release that the operations room received a report from an Asian national resident stating that he was robbed by two unidentified persons, where one restrained him while the other stole from him and fled the scene.

The Ministry added that upon receiving the report, the Hawalli Governorate Detective Office (Salmiya Detective Bureau) initiated search and investigation procedures, moved to the incident site, deployed surveillance cameras, and gathered the necessary information. The investigation identified the culprits as two citizens working for the Ministry of Defense.

The Ministry indicated that by using modern technical means, one of the suspects was monitored and apprehended, and upon confrontation with the investigation findings, he admitted and confessed to committing the incident along with another suspect.

The Ministry noted that the second suspect was lured and arrested, and upon confrontation with the charges, he admitted to his participation in the crime. They also found suspect materials believed to be drugs and tools for consumption in their possession. Legal procedures are currently underway against the suspects, and they, along with the seized items, are being referred to the competent authority.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed its continued efforts in pursuing and arresting anyone daring to jeopardize the security of the nation and the safety of its citizens and residents, emphasizing that it will not be lenient in enforcing the law on everyone without exception.
