Khaberni - The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated that the workers in the Drug Enforcement Administration dealt with a number of quality cases in various governorates, during which 12 drug dealers, smugglers, and promoters were arrested and large quantities of those substances were seized.
In one of the notable cases, the administration's personnel, in cooperation and coordination with the Jordan Customs and security agencies at the Jaber border crossing, foiled the smuggling of 85,000 narcotic pills attempted by an individual into the kingdom, where he was arrested. Upon investigating him, it was found that he had stored a quantity of the narcotic substance hashish inside his house. The place was searched, and 13 kilograms of hashish were seized.
In the south of the capital, raid and investigation teams carried out a security campaign against drug dealers and promoters, during which three people were arrested, one of them being one of the main dealers supplying the promoters with those substances; 15 kilograms of hashish were seized. In the capital, three drug promoters were also arrested after gathering information around them and seizing 9 kilograms of hashish from them.
In the Jerash Governorate, after gathering information about a drug dealer and confirming his involvement in transporting a quantity of drugs from the Ramtha district towards Jerash Governorate accompanied by another person, they were both raided and arrested with 40 kilograms of hashish in their possession. Similarly, in the Zarqa Governorate, a drug promoter was raided, and 6 kilograms of hashish were seized in his possession.
In the Aqaba Governorate, after gathering information about a drug dealer and confirming his involvement in possessing and storing a large quantity of drugs, he was raided and arrested. During the investigation, the location of the hidden drugs in a rocky and rugged area was identified, and 36 kilograms of hashish hidden there were seized.
