Umniah Launches Its New Identity as Part of Beyon Marking a New Growth and Innovation Phase in the Telecommunication and Techno

Khaberni - Umniah announced the launch of its new corporate identity as part of Beyon, in a strategic move representing a new phase of growth and innovation, aiming to strengthen its connection with the leading regional "Beyon" group in the field of technology solutions and digital innovation.

The new identity was launched during a ceremony attended by several princes, ministers, senior officials, diplomats, and media representatives, on the invitation of Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Beyon Group board, during which he announced new investments for the group in Jordan amounting to approximately 300 million dinars over the next five years.
Adopting the new identity is a natural extension of Umniah's journey with its parent group. Since joining the Bahraini company "Batelco" in 2006, this relationship has evolved pivotally in 2022 when "Batelco" itself became part of the Beyon Group; a leading regional system with investments across 17 geographical areas on three continents, granting Umniah greater capabilities to serve its customers and enhance its contribution to the development of Jordan's digital economy, in harmony with the Economic Modernization Vision launched by His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein.

Since its establishment in 2005, Umniah has played a pivotal role in transforming the Jordanian telecommunications market, culminating its efforts with several achievements, most notably its leading role in launching the first commercial fifth-generation services in the kingdom, being rated as one of the fastest-growing companies in 2024, and winning the title of "Fastest Mobile Network" in Jordan for three years from the global company Ookla.

Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Engineer Sami Samirat confirmed that the launch of Umniah's new identity marks an important milestone in the journey of Jordan's telecommunications sector and reflects the vitality of this sector and its role in supporting digital transformation and enhancing innovation. He emphasized that the new investments of the Beyon Group embody the investors' confidence in the Jordanian economy and contribute to the development of the digital infrastructure and enhancing Jordan's position as a regional center for technology and innovation within a national path led by His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, may God protect him, to develop the communications and technology sector and make Jordan a regional center for innovation and knowledge.

In his speech on this occasion, Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the board of Beyon Group
"The strong brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan are the foundation from which our successful investment in Umniah has been launched for twenty years. Today, the launch of our new identity represents not just a visual change but a new chapter we are writing in this investment's journey, deepening our commitment to building a promising digital future for Jordan, and we look forward in the Beyon Group to the future with greater determination to continue investing and expanding our business, where we plan to invest approximately 300 million Jordanian dinars in the kingdom over the next five years, through Umniah, serving the economic and social development in Jordan and the region."

For his part, Faisal Al Jalahmah, CEO of Umniah, mentioned that "the launch of the new visual identity is not limited to changing the name or logo, but reflects our vision for a more inclusive and innovative future. We will continue to invest in the latest technologies from fifth-generation networks to artificial intelligence and cloud computing, enabling us to meet the needs of our clients in various sectors, and contribute to building an advanced digital economy that enhances Jordan's regional status. He added: "Aligning our corporate identity with the Beyon Group represents a natural step reflecting our deep affiliation with the group since the beginning, granting us additional strength to benefit from its global infrastructure and vast expertise, yet our core that Jordanians have known will not change. We will remain close to the people, transparent in our promises, and bold in our innovations to serve this nation. This new identity is a promise to carry our Jordanian success story to the global stage."

Umniah's future efforts will focus on enhancing global connectivity, technological leadership, sustainable innovation, and digital inclusion, alongside building strategic partnerships that support economic and social growth. From these pillars, Umniah is preparing to implement a set of future projects that include establishing an advanced data center to support the national digital infrastructure, expanding the fifth-generation network, introducing WiFi 7 technology, and extending the optical fiber network to include Amman, Balqa, and Zarqa, with a special focus on the Wadi Araba area.

In addition to its role in developing the telecommunications market, Umniah continues to invest in the community through sustainable initiatives, notably the "Electronic Connection and Protection System" project with the Ministry of Education, targeting the connection of over 3,500 schools and educational sites to serve about 1.3 million students and 100,000 educational staff members. This project embodies the company's commitment to supporting the digital education infrastructure in the kingdom.

With this new identity, Umniah renews its commitment to being a trusted partner close to the Jordanian community, contributing to shaping a digital future worthy of individuals' aspirations, enhancing the national economy, and positioning Jordan actively on the global digital map.
