Khaberni - The Jordanian teams achieved an unprecedented accomplishment in the sixth edition of the finals of the Afro-Asian Forum for Innovation and Technology Competitions, which concluded its activities today in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a commendable total of 9 trophies, including 4 first places and 5 second places out of 12 competitions participated in by competing countries, marking Jordan’s prominent presence and one of its best international results at this event.
The Jordanian results were as follows:
First Places:
First place in mobile applications: Rahba Rakad School - Northeastern Badia
First place in the film-making competition: King Abdullah II Schools for Excellence - Madaba
First place in the Young Innovator competition: Al-Sakhna Secondary School for Boys - Zarqa
First place in the Rescue Robot competition: King Abdullah II Schools for Excellence - Irbid
Second Places:
Second place in the animation competition: Al-Madina Al-Warda Basic School - Petra
Second place in the Software Leader competition: Summa Secondary School for Boys
Second place in the Arts Champions competition: King Abdullah II Schools for Excellence - Zarqa
Tied second place in the Media Collector Robot competition: STEM Fluj Center - Madaba and Shababik Center - Madaba
Additionally, student Ahmed Ftaftah from the Islamic Scientific College Schools received a special honor with an official invitation from the forum’s management in recognition of his achievements in the field of drones.
From Jordan, Engineer Shuaa Twalbeh and Engineer Anwar Al-Shawabkeh participated in the international judging panels, alongside judges from Malaysia, Indonesia, and other countries, where they delivered an outstanding performance, earning widespread acclaim from the organizing committee.
Dr. Nawal Al-Hamadin and Mr. Osman Al-Rahamat supervised the Jordanian delegation, while Dr. Osama Al-Asmar represented Jordan at the Afro-Asian Forum for Innovation and Technology.
His Excellency Ambassador Ismail Al-Maaytah in Malaysia congratulated the delegation and considered these results to reflect the advancement of Jordanian students in the fields of technology and innovation, and confirm Jordan's ability to compete globally in the modern science arena.
