Khaberni - Continuing its program and role in community service and leadership in supporting charitable initiatives, the Jordan Duty Free Shops participated in the 61st edition of the Diplomatic Corps Charity International Annual Bazaar, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Talal. The event was held at Al-Hussein Youth City Hall in Amman.
About 46 diplomatic entities accredited to the Hashemite Royal Court participated with booths that displayed their cultural, civilizational, artistic, and social identity.
This bazaar is an annual platform that brings together more than 40 diplomatic entities and displays national products, traditional foods, and cuisines from various countries, with all proceeds going to support the Umm Al Hussein Foundation, which was established in 1958 and works to care for orphaned children and provide them with an educational environment and a dignified life.
Jordan Duty Free Shops indicated that their participation in the bazaar is in line with their vision to enhance community solidarity and contribute to social development, reaffirming their ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that elevate the Jordanian society, and working to enhance their presence in events with a humanitarian and social dimension, expressing their pride in being part of an event that brings together world cultures and directs its support to needy children
Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Talal during the opening praised the importance of the bazaar's message and the humanitarian role it plays in promoting the values of solidarity and cooperation, considering the event not just an exhibition or bazaar, but a platform for cultural, civilizational, and diplomatic encounters.
The bazaar included various events; the bazaar featured participation of booths from the participating countries that displayed traditional handicrafts and crafts, and international food booths, in addition to folkloric shows that enriched the diverse experience characterized by a variety of cultural fields and foods.
