Khaberni - The Ministry of Education announced the guide for submitting applications to participate in the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) for the supplementary session of 2025, clarifying that this guide is an integral part of the instructions for the Secondary Education Certificate examination, and it is to be implemented as such.
The Ministry confirmed that the supplementary session for the year 2025 is considered the "last" for completing the success requirements or improving the average for participants in the exam according to the academic plan for the 2017/2018 school year, indicating that in the subsequent sessions they will be allowed to apply as new participants according to the new exam plan.
The Ministry also clarified that participants in vocational branches, according to the academic and vocational education plan for twelfth-grade students in the 2024/2025 school year and earlier, are allowed to take the general exam to complete the success requirements within a period not exceeding three calendar years for the first time, by submitting a general exam participation application.
* Academic plan (born in 2008)
The Ministry indicated that participants according to the academic education plan for the 2024/2025 school year are allowed to retake two or more subjects to fulfill the success requirements, for an unlimited number of times. They are also allowed to retake up to two subjects in which they achieved 50% of their maximum score once to demonstrate or improve their average, and the highest score will be counted.
Participants through private study (non-formal) have the right to change their branch or the previous elective specialty requirement.
* Exam committee decisions
Regarding the decisions of the general exam committee specific to students registered according to the twelfth-grade plan for 2024/2025 and earlier (students born in 2007 and earlier), the Ministry confirmed that they are treated according to previous instructions regarding improving the average, allowing students born in 2007 and earlier to register an unlimited number of subjects and the highest score is counted.
The participant who applies to improve the average (who achieved 50% or more of the maximum end in all subjects and obtained an average of 60% or more) is counted the highest score, indicating that obtaining new scores does not cancel their previous scores. They are also allowed to proceed according to their academic curricula in the general and supplementary exams for 2026.
* Allowed categories
The Ministry pointed out that the categories allowed to apply for the supplementary exam for the year 2025 include students who have not completed the success requirements and students improving the average according to the academic plan for the 2017/2018 school year and thereafter, provided that the registration of these students is for the completion of their previous marks only and not as new participants.
Registration is also allowed through paper by the exam departments in the directorates of education for categories who have not previously applied for the exam, including students who successfully passed the twelfth grade in the 2024/2025 school year with the success certificate attached to the application, and regular students in the eleventh grade for the 2025/2026 school year who are allowed to apply for common general culture subjects (Arabic language, English language, Islamic education, history of Jordan).
A school registration certification for the eleventh grade is attached with the application, in addition to students who obtained the American diploma (H.S.D) and wish to apply for general secondary exams in the subjects: Arabic language, Islamic education, and the history of Jordan.
* Military service
For registering a Jordanian male participant under the age of forty, it is required that his military service status be deferred or exempted on the "Sanad" application.
The Ministry confirmed that all participants will proceed according to the curricula and textbooks prescribed for regular students for the 2024/2025 academic year, including textbooks for those born in 2007 for participants according to the twelfth-grade plan, and textbooks for those born in 2008 for participants according to the eleventh-grade plan.
* Fees
Regarding the fees, the Ministry set a registration fee of 20 Jordanian dinars, and 10 dinars for each subject consisting of one paper, and 5 dinars for each paper of the subject that includes two papers, in addition to 20 dinars from the regular student in the twelfth grade in public schools, and 50 dinars from the regular student in private schools who are applying for the first time in common general culture subjects and have not previously submitted a registration application.
The fees are to be collected electronically through the "E-FAWATEERcom" application or authorized agents for Jordanian students only, while non-Jordanian students pay at the directorates of education and submit two recent personal photos to the exam department.
The guide clarified that participants fill the registration application electronically and make the payment for Jordanians via "E-FAWATEERcom". In case of desire to delete or add new subjects after payment, it is necessary to review the examination department in the directorate to make the modification and print anew, along with attaching the additional payment receipt, as the exams department prints the completed electronic applications daily.
* Registration steps
The electronic registration steps include logging onto the website by entering the national number (10 digits) or the historical seat number (12 digits) and birth date, then the personal data and grade statement appear. Afterward, click on the option "Registration for the supplementary exam for 2025", enter contact information, select the subjects not yet completed or the subjects intended to improve the grade, and then view and/or print the registration application. It is indicated that non-Jordanian participants review the exams department for payment and delivery of photos. The electronic registration is considered void if the registration and payment procedures are not completed within the specified period.
Regarding students with disabilities, the Ministry emphasized the necessity of submitting medical reports duly certified and including the disability category on the unified forms, and considering the distribution of students in halls close to their residences or as necessary.
The Ministry stated in very important general provisions that it is prohibited to register any participant through private study at a directorate other than their own except in exceptional cases (such as tribal displacement, family relocation, marriage of females) with necessary documents provided. No participation application is accepted after the period ends, participants are not allowed to sit for any subject not registered in the application after the registration period ends, and any cases not addressed in these guidelines are referred to the Ministry of Education / Exams and Tests Administration.
