After 30 years The return of I Will Not Live in My Fathers Robes with a new generation of heroes

Khaberni - Artist Omar Riad, son of artist Mohamed Riad, revealed the start of preparations for presenting a second part of the famous series "I Will Not Live in My Father's Robes," about thirty years after the airing of the first part, which is considered one of the most prominent landmarks of Egyptian drama.

Omar Riad announced the news on his official Facebook account saying: "They said the story was over, but some stories choose to return on their own, I Will Not Live in My Father's Robes 2", indicating the return of the work which still holds a special place with the audience despite the passage of years.

Riad explained in his statements that the idea of the second part was indeed proposed during the past period, noting that the series still retains its brilliance and great success in the memory of viewers, and that the nostalgia for the old work and the audience's desire to see it again were the main motivations behind reviving the project.
The young artist added that the new part will be presented with a different spirit reflecting the current youth generation, while maintaining the original dramatic line loved by the audience, saying: "I hope all the heroes will be present again, especially the great professor Abla Kamel, but there will be big surprises to be announced soon."

Omar Riad disclosed that his father, artist Mohamed Riad, will participate in the work again to portray the character Abd al-Ghafour al-Burai, while he will take on the role of the son Abd al-Wahab, confirming that negotiations are ongoing with a production company to adopt the idea and start its implementation soon.
It is worth mentioning that the series "I Will Not Live in My Father's Robes" was first aired in 1995, and achieved widespread success that is echoed to this day, featuring Nour El-Sherif, Abla Kamel, Mohamed Riad, Hanan Turk, Nahed Rashad, Wafaa Sadek, Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra, and Mustafa Metwalli, and directed by Ahmed Tawfik, based on a story by Ihsan Abdel Quddous, and screenplay and dialogue by Mustafa Mahram.

Over the past years, death has claimed several of the work's heroes, including Nour El-Sherif, Mustafa Metwalli, Nahed Rashad, Farouq El-Rashidy, and others.
