Khaberni - Lebanese star Ragheb Alama discussed the nature of the artistic competition that linked him with Egyptian star Amr Diab over many years, confirming that it was an honorable and beautiful competition aimed at serving art and delighting the audience, denying any personal disagreements between them.

Alama stated in remarks to the Egyptian media, "Throughout our artistic history, the media exaggerated the competition between us, but it was a sophisticated artistic competition to serve art and create beautiful songs that make the audience happy."

Alama explained that the meeting that recently brought him together with Amr Diab during a wedding party in Cairo was friendly, saying: "When I met Amr at one of the weddings, we were talking about singing, and a light banter started between us, we were arguing about who would sing the other’s song. He told me he wanted to sing (Maghram Ya Leil), and I told him I wanted to sing (Habibi Ya Nour El Ain)."
The Lebanese star emphasized that this moment reflected the spirit of love between them, saying: "The competition between us has always delighted and thrilled me."

Alama continued, saying: "I love Amr Diab because he is a successful and smart artist, and surely he feels the same about me," pointing out that their appearance together at the last occasion "provided a real moment filled with nostalgia."

He also expressed his hope that they would soon share a single concert in Egypt, Lebanon, or anywhere else, emphasizing that such a meeting would be a unique artistic experience that would delight the Arab audience.
On the artistic front, Ragheb Alama recently released a video clip for his new song "Khayef Men Eh", which brought back the classic romantic vibe he is famous for, with lyrics by Hani Al-Sagheer and composed by the late Khaled Al-Bakri.
