Khaberni - Olympic Marseille turned a one-goal deficit into a crushing 6-2 win against Le Havre in the eighth round of the French League, thanks to a "super hat-trick" by the English Mason Greenwood.
Marseille raised its tally to 18 points, climbing to the top of "Ligue 1", one point ahead of the reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain, and two points ahead of Strasbourg, who secured an exciting 3-3 draw against the European champions last Friday.
Le Havre took the lead in the 24th minute through Moroccan Yassine Kachta, but the response was harsh from the southern club, thanks to former Manchester United star Greenwood.
First "Super Hat-trick" in Greenwood's Career
The former England national team player equalized the score in the 35th minute through a penalty, before adding three more goals in minutes 67, 72, and 76, marking his first "hat-trick" and "super hat-trick" of his career.
Robinho added a fifth goal for coach Roberto De Zerbi’s team in the 88th minute, before Abdoulaye Toure narrowed the score in the 90+2 minute, but Amir Morio added a sixth goal that ended the goal festival at the "Velodrome" stadium
Marseille achieved the biggest victory in the history of matches against Le Havre, surpassing their biggest previous victory by a score of 5-1 in the French league season 1953-1954.
