Khaberni - Exclusive
A crisis hit the Ministry of Local Administration in Jordan after the ministry decided to terminate the services of 10 executive directors of municipalities, while there were calls to solve the problem and reinstate the directors who were dismissed to their positions in their municipalities.
Details obtained by Khaberni site indicate that the dismissed directors include 4 from southern municipalities, 3 from northern municipalities, and 3 from central municipalities, Khaberni, which shocked both the directors and the municipal employees alike.
One of the dismissed directors, Khaberni and Bakr Al-Zawaydeh, the former Executive Director of Haditha Basin Municipality, told Khaberni that criteria and "targets" for evaluating executive directors had been set since the beginning of the year, but about a month and a half prior to the evaluation date, Khaberni, the model on which the evaluation was based was changed, adding that they, as executive directors, were surprised by the presence of new criteria such as revenues.
Al-Zawaydeh continued that criteria in the evaluation include organizational returns questioning, "How am I evaluated based on organizational returns when they are not even under the municipality's authority?", adding that he was put in the evaluation that he no longer created a survey to measure the satisfaction of the community and employees despite having worked on it and presented it to the evaluation committee.
A source in the Ministry of Local Administration told Khaberni site that the executive directors, Khaberni, who were dismissed obtained less than 60 in the evaluation conducted by the ministry.
The executive directors defended themselves by saying that the report is inaccurate and skirts the truth, as it evaluates them on matters, Khaberni, over which they have no control.
In the same context, the issue of Engineer Abdullah Al-Shdifat, the Executive Director of Manshiyat Bani Hasan Municipality, is still being ignored by the ministry despite the issuance of a favorable decision from the Legislation and Opinion Bureau and the decisions of the Mafraq Court of Human Rights in its primary and appellate capacities, which literally stated that the employment relationship between him and the municipality still exists, as also confirmed by the First Administrative Court and the Higher Administrative Court.
Despite reviewing the minister and the ministry, and despite the promises to apply the law and the system and the decisions, all these decisions are neglected, according to Engineer Shdifat, Khaberni, adding that the main reason for hindering the implementation of the law and decisions is a high-ranking official in the ministry for personal reasons.
Al-Shdifat continued that the Secretary General answered him at one point that decisions of the Opinion and Legislation Bureau are not considered, and Al-Shdifat questioned: What about the judicial decisions?
