BenGvir Threatens Netanyahu with Dissolving the Government if the Execution of Palestinians is not Legislated
بن غفير يهدد نتنياهو بحل الحكومة إذا لم يشرع إعدام الفلسطينيين

Khaberni - The Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, said this Saturday evening, "I informed Netanyahu that if Hamas is not dismantled and the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners is not implemented, I will dissolve the government on a specific date."

Earlier, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he has instructed to keep the Rafah crossing closed until further notice, explaining that the reopening of the crossing will be discussed later based on the extent of Hamas's compliance with its responsibilities, especially regarding the return of the bodies of Israeli prisoners and the implementation of the agreed framework between the two sides.

In the same context, Diaa Rashwan, head of the General Authority for Information, stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking to use the issue of delaying the delivery of the bodies of Palestinian martyrs as a political card, justifying this delay by "difficult security conditions inside the Gaza Strip" and the difficulty in reaching some areas.

He mentioned that Netanyahu is using this excuse to postpone the second phase of the agreement, a phase which involves major obligations that embarrass him in front of the Israeli public.

Rashwan clarified in press statements that the second phase of the agreement includes complex issues such as the complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, enabling the Palestinian Authority to manage the sector, and ensuring a regional or international security presence to maintain stability, which are points Netanyahu seems to be trying to evade or delay as much as possible amid internal political pressure.

Despite raising the issue of the bodies, Rashwan doubted that this point would completely blow up the agreement, noting that there is progress in the positions of the mediators—Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar—who have expressed their willingness to provide the necessary technical support including the introduction of equipment to help in recovering and delivering the bodies, but he emphasized that this requires the Israeli side's approval for the entry of such equipment.
