From the paint shop to a bachelors degree The struggle story of the Jordanian Faisal Dasan
من ورشة الدهان إلى البكالوريوس قصة كفاح الأردني فيصل دعسان

Khaberni - The graduate from the University of Jordan, Faisal Dasan expressed his joy for his achievement in obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, after a struggle journey during which he worked in the profession of painting to secure the installments and supplies needed for his studies.

While many try to capture their graduation photos in their best clothes, Dasan preferred to have his picture taken wearing the graduation gown over his work clothes, holding the paintbrush that had been his companion during the past four years.

Dasan sent a message in which he talked about his experience, and it stated the following:

Today, I stand proudly, holding my degree in Guidance Psychology with the third rank in my class, surrounded by the joy of my achievement and excellence. This certificate was not just a piece of paper, but a manifestation of a struggle journey I lived with its bitterness and sweetness.

Four years ago, I made a bold decision to take full responsibility for my life and study. I had no choice but to work hard to build my future, so I started my journey in the profession of painting and sculpting.

My days passed as I faced enormous challenges that surpassed physical effort. I often endured hurtful words and underestimation of my abilities. Sharp words hurt me, but they couldn’t extinguish my flame; on the contrary, they increased my determination and insistence to move forward.

I spent long nights awake, my days filled with colors and paint, and my nights covered with the words of books and science. Whenever I felt exhausted, I would recall the words of encouragement from my professors, and my outstanding times in lectures, and this gave me a new surge of hope and determination.

The difficulties I faced were not limited to work and study only, but also included dealing with different mindsets entirely from me in my surroundings. It was difficult for me to explain the importance of what I was doing to those around me, and the necessity of knowledge and learning for me. I faced criticism and belittlement from those who did not understand the value of science and learning, but I did not let these obstacles dampen my spirits, rather they made me more determined to achieve my dreams.

I remember the days when I used to knead the paint and smell its scent that always filled me inside, and they are juxtaposed with memories of my study moments, where I participated enthusiastically in scientific discussions and presented my ideas creatively. Those moments always drove me to continue, despite all the difficulties.

My journey was not just an educational journey, but a journey of self-confrontation and discovery of the capabilities hidden within me.

I feel immense pride because I faced all these hardships and relied on myself since my early years. I was not only working and studying, but I was building myself and polishing my character. Every day that passed added to my experience and wisdom enough to face the days. My knowledge and status are the result of great effort and countless sacrifices.

Today, after everything I went through, I feel strong, confident, and ready to face the future with the same spirit and determination that allowed me to overcome all the obstacles of my recent past. This journey was not only to achieve an academic goal, but to build a robust and flexible human being, capable of challenge and creativity.

This is not the end of my journey, but the beginning of a future filled with achievements and challenges that I will face with a spirit filled with hope and determination.

Officially, a graduate from the mother university.. the psychological counselor and freelancer Faisal Dasan "
