Khaberni - The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today that the Rafah crossing will remain closed until further notice.
The office explained in a statement that Netanyahu has issued instructions not to open the crossing until Hamas fulfills its commitments related to the return of the bodies of the captives.
The statement affirmed the Israeli government's commitment to work on retrieving the bodies of all captives for decent burial, calling on Hamas to fulfill its commitments in this regard.
The Palestinian Embassy in Egypt stated on Saturday that the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt will be reopened on October 20th.
The embassy added that after communication with the competent authorities in Egypt, the Rafah land crossing will be opened starting from the day after tomorrow, Monday, to enable residents in Egypt who wish to return to the Gaza Strip to travel, according to the existing coordination mechanism.
This evening, Saturday, the embassy called in a statement for all citizens wishing to travel to record their information (full name, date of birth, passport number if available, identity number, mobile phone number) and send it via WhatsApp at number 01223301974.
The embassy reported that it will communicate with the citizens and inform them of the times and places of gathering, in preparation for moving towards the Rafah land crossing.
