Chelsea continued its victories in the Premier League with a 3-0 win over host Nottingham Forest on Saturday, part of the eighth round of competitions, in a match that ended with the dismissal of Australian coach Ange Postecoglou.
Josh Achimpong opened the scoring for the visiting team at the 49th minute, followed by Pedro Neto doubling the lead three minutes later, before Reece James completed Chelsea's triple at the 84th minute.
Chelsea raised its tally to 14 points in fourth place, while Forest's points froze at five in the 17th place.
Dismissal of Ange Postecoglou
After the match, the dismissal of Postecoglou from coaching Nottingham Forest was confirmed.
Postecoglou, who took over the coaching of Nottingham Forest after Portuguese Nuno Santo, failed to win any match with the team in the 8 matches he played in all competitions.
