Khaberni - Chinese actress Guo Tong, aged 37, continues to spark controversy on social media after revealing her experience with a series of medical injections that help eliminate grey hair and restore natural hair color.
Social media users are circulating a video of the Chinese artist posted on the app "Douyin" (the Chinese version of "TikTok"), in which she confirms that she has recently started a treatment with injections said to be able to restore the melanin pigment in the hair, gradually returning its original color to her white strands, causing a significant controversy among her followers.
Guo said, "My hair greying is not genetic, but rather the result of an irregular lifestyle, psychological and emotional stress, and a period of severe psychological stress that negatively affected my hair."
Guo Tong pointed out that she has completed 10 treatment sessions, buthas not yet noticed clear results because she had to miss three sessions during her travels, in addition to dyeing her hair black for filming purposes, emphasizing that the treating doctor took close-up photos documenting the growth of some black hair from the roots.
Tong expressed her happiness with these indicators and the outcome, saying: "Instead of continuously worrying about increasing grey hair, I preferred to consult specialists and focus on my work. If the treatment succeeds, I will gladly share my experience with you, and if it does not, I will consider what I spent as a tuition fee."
Guo Tong is receiving the treatment at Yueyang Hospital in Shanghai, which involves injections of vitamin B12 known as "adenosylcobalamin," a principle derived from traditional Chinese medicine, said to stimulate the production of melanin, the substance responsible for hair, skin, and eye color. However, despite growing interest in this treatment, controversy still exists about its effectiveness in reality.
