Khaberni - Media reports confirmed that Atlético Madrid showed interest in signing Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, should his contract renewal with Barcelona fail, in a move aimed at strengthening the team's attack line ahead of crucial competitions on all fronts.
Sky network explained that Atlético Madrid's management sees Lewandowski as an experienced player capable of delivering the expected addition and achieving the team's goals in La Liga and the Champions League, benefiting from the great reputation the player has gained throughout his European career.
On the other hand, Barcelona's management decided not to renew Lewandowski's contract, in a surprising move despite his outstanding performance in recent seasons.
It is rumored that this step is due to his advancing age and recurring injuries, which prompted the club to search for younger alternatives to bolster the attack line. In this context, Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic is considered one of the most prominent options proposed to replace Lewandowski.
It is worth noting that Lewandowski's agent, Pini Zahavi, confirmed that the player has not yet made a final decision regarding his future, and that he is currently focused on recovering from a recent injury. The situation is expected to become clearer over the coming weeks, as negotiations continue between the involved parties.
