Khaberni - The Public Prosecutor of North Amman decided today, Friday, to detain 50 individuals, including students and non-students, for a week pending investigation into the widespread brawl that erupted inside the Jordan University, resulting in 7 injuries and the arrest of several participants.

According to informed sources for "Roya" TV, the brawl began with exchanges of insults between several students, before quickly escalating to physical confrontations and the use of sharp objects.

The university security intervened to break up the clash within the campus, while public security forces spread around the university to control the situation and arrest some participants as they attempted to leave the site or continued fighting outside.

The public security spokesman previously confirmed in a statement that a report was received about the brawl, resulting in 7 injuries that were all transported to the hospital and described as stable, noting that several participants were arrested at the time.

Multiple charges were directed at the detainees by the public prosecutor, including:
Engaging in riotous acts that resulted in damage.
Causing damage to others' property (university property).
Carrying sharp objects.
Illegal assembly.
Assault.
