Khaberni - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that delivering American Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine will escalate the conflict to a new qualitative level.
The Kremlin representative pointed out that President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov have made this assessment and warned of the consequences of this escalatory step.
Peskov added: "We have spoken about this many times. This would be a very big step towards a new qualitative level of escalation."
Peskov emphasized that Moscow's stance is well known to both Washington and Kyiv.
Talking about the potential use of Tomahawk missiles by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Peskov confirmed that the military will do everything in its power to ensure Russia's security.
Vladimir Zelensky has repeatedly requested from the United States to increase supplies of "Patriot" missiles, and he also demands the delivery of "Tomahawk" missiles to Kyiv. Meanwhile, previous U.S. President Donald Trump had stated that before making a final decision on "Tomahawk" missiles, he might discuss the matter with the Russian President.
On October 6, Trump announced that he had indeed made a decision regarding the possibility of transferring these missiles to the Ukrainian side, but he did not specify the content of this decision.
