Khaberni - The Jordanian Association of Vegetable and Fruit Exporters and Producers, in collaboration with the National Fund for Enterprise Support (NAFES), organized an introductory workshop today, Thursday, October 16, 2025. The workshop aimed to highlight the key services of the fund and the support mechanisms available for entrepreneurial, industrial, agricultural, and service projects, as part of efforts to enhance the business environment and develop the competitiveness of Jordanian companies in both the local and international markets.
The Executive Director of the fund, Engineer Moaz Al-Alawin, outlined during the workshop the objectives of "NAFES" in supporting innovative and entrepreneurial projects, in addition to newly established projects, especially those operating in vital sectors such as industry, agriculture, and services. He explained that the fund is working on developing the institutional capacities of projects and offering financial programs tailored to enhance efficiency and achieve sustainable growth.
Al-Alawin also touched upon the importance of expanding the scope of support directed towards the agricultural sector, showcasing the main services offered by the fund, the criteria required to benefit from the support, financing rates, and examples of programs implemented by the fund across various sectors.
For his part, the president of the Jordanian Association of Vegetable and Fruit Exporters and Producers, Mr. Mazen Al-Hamarna, confirmed that organizing this workshop falls within the association's strategy aimed at empowering Jordanian agricultural companies and enhancing their competitive capabilities, emphasizing the association’s commitment to opening communication channels between agricultural companies and supporting institutions, and offering everything that can contribute to the development of this vital sector, which forms a fundamental pillar of the national economy.
The meeting saw notable interaction from the members of the association, where inquiries were raised about the support programs provided by the National Fund, and opportunities for future cooperation were discussed to facilitate agricultural companies' access to available services and sustainably develop their projects.
This workshop is part of a series of activities that the association plans to carry out in the coming period, with the aim of raising awareness and enhancing the opportunities for Jordanian companies to access support resources, and expanding the scope of its partnerships with national institutions concerned with economic growth and entrepreneurship support.
It should be noted that the National Fund for Enterprise Support (NAFES) offers a range of services that include financial, administrative, and technical consultancy, in addition to general and specialized training programs to support the growth and development of projects across various sectors.
