Khaberni - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing, in collaboration with the Traffic Management and Highway Patrols, announced the closure of Ktum road and the redirection of traffic to the main road (Irbid – Amman) starting from tomorrow, Friday, with the purpose of constructing an overhead bridge at the Ktum road intersection as part of the Irbid Ring Road completion project.
The ministry explained that the project includes the construction of a bridge 56 meters long over the intersection of Ktum road with the Irbid Ring Road, in addition to rebuilding Ktum road extending 520 meters and widening it to 20 meters wide, which includes cutting, base works, and asphalt mixture, along with executing traffic safety requirements.
The ministry confirmed that traffic will be redirected to the main road (Irbid – Amman) from the eastern entrance, according to the schematic plan and directional signs placed to guide citizens, until the completion of the works. Service roads will also be constructed within the scope of the project to serve local residents.
The ministry emphasized that the alternative route has been prepared as a traffic detour, where it underwent comprehensive maintenance and has been equipped with all traffic safety elements, urging road users to adhere to public safety instructions and follow the guidance of the ministry staff and security forces on site to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and everyone’s safety.
