Khaberni - Journalist Mohammad Naviz Koja, owner of the newspaper "Gün Işığı" and president of the Elazig Association for Press and Media, was subjected to an armed attack with bullets in front of the newspaper building in the Rezaiyah neighborhood in the city of Elazig.
The attack, carried out by the attacker using a hunting rifle, resulted in Koja being wounded in his leg. He was instantly transported to Firat University Hospital for medical treatment, and medical reports indicate that his health condition is stable.
Surveillance cameras managed to accurately document the moment of the attack, showing the suspect approaching the victim and firing at him before fleeing the scene.
The Elazig police have initiated intensive investigations and are tracking the suspect, analyzing all clues and evidence available to uncover the details of the incident.
This incident has caused widespread condemnation in the media and journalistic circles, where "Elazig Association for the Press" denounced the attack as a blatant assault on press freedom, emphasizing the need to provide protection for journalists and ensure their safety while they are carrying out their professional duties.
