Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 20 individuals accused of instigating brawls and causing chaos, pointing out that 4 others were detained for violating public decency terms and 4 for smoking in closed public places.
It was mentioned that "in continuation of the persistent efforts exerted by the Criminal Security sector to enforce public order and confront negative behaviors in public places, and in cooperation with the Directorate General for Security Affairs, the General Department of Criminal Investigation and the Environmental Police Department conducted an extensive field security campaign targeting several shopping malls which recently witnessed repeated incidents of brawls, some of which involved the use of bladed weapons, in addition to apprehending a number of violators of public regulations."
It added, "The campaign resulted in the arrest of 20 individuals involved in instigating brawls and causing chaos. The non-compliant residents were deported from the country, and legal measures were taken against the citizens involved. Additionally, 4 individuals were arrested for violating public decency conditions."
It also noted that "the Environmental Police managed to arrest 4 individuals for smoking in enclosed public places (shopping malls), and necessary legal actions were taken against them."
The Ministry of Interior affirmed the continued efforts of concerned authorities to intensify field campaigns within shopping malls and public sites to control troublemakers and violators, emphasizing the application of deterrent measures against anyone who disrupts public order or violates the laws and regulations in force.
