Khaberni - Monitoring

The strength of the Jordanian passport has dropped according to the Henley Passport Index for 2025, which classifies passports according to the number of countries that allow entry without a visa or with a visa on arrival.

The Jordanian passport is now ranked 90th globally, after being ranked 87th globally.

The Jordanian passport allows its holder to visit 52 countries without a prearranged visa.

According to Khaberni's monitoring of the index, the best ranking for the Jordanian passport was in 2006, when it occupied the 75th position globally, while its worst ranking was in 98th place in 2021.

East Asian countries topped the new ranking, with Singapore in first place with access to 193 countries, followed by South Korea (190 countries) and Japan (189 countries), while Germany, Luxembourg, and Italy shared the fourth place.

The new ranking saw the United States exit the list of the top 10 strongest passports, as it fell to the 12th position, tied with Malaysia, where their holders are allowed to enter 180 countries without a visa.
