Gareth Bale Haunted by the Specter of Bankruptcy

Khaberni - Retired Welsh star Gareth Bale has revealed his fears of bankruptcy despite having a fortune estimated at around 120 million pounds.

The British newspaper The Sun reported that the 36-year-old player was always thinking about his financial future after ending his football career, indicating that he feared the fate that some athletes face after retirement due to poor financial management.

Gareth Bale stated in remarks to the "Front Office Sports" website that he tried early on to diversify his investments to avoid any future financial risks, explaining that he relied on the idea of dividing his wealth into multiple investment pillars so as not to affect his financial position if one failed. He added that despite his comfortable life, he was always cautious of excessive spending, and he made sure to think about what would happen after the income from football stopped.

The former Tottenham and Real Madrid star spoke about his brief experience in the American League with Los Angeles FC, explaining that he had wanted to move to the American league years earlier, but player salary restrictions prevented him from making the decision, as European offers were financially better.

Bale mentioned that he is currently enjoying his post-retirement phase, where he started appearing as a sports analyst on TNT Sports network, and participated in covering the Europa League final last year. He also hinted at the possibility of entering the sports investment world by purchasing Cardiff City club, affirming his desire to contribute to restoring the club’s rightful place in Welsh football.

Bale already owns several projects in the capital Cardiff, most notably two restaurants named Elevens Bar and Bar 59 dedicated to mini-golf, and he continues to practice golf, which he is a fan of, having recently participated in the BMW PGA Championship for amateurs and professionals at Wentworth.
