Khaberni - Salem Al-Dossari, the star of the Saudi national team and Al Hilal, delivered several messages before announcing the winner of the Best Player in Asia award.
Salem Al-Dossari had previously won the Best Player in Asia award in 2022, and he is nominated for the award this year.
Al-Dossari competes against the Qatari Akram Afif, and the Malaysian Arif Ayman, and the winner is expected to be announced on Thursday.
Salem Al-Dossari said in a press conference held on Wednesday before the anticipated ceremony: "Thanks be to God for our qualification for the World Cup, and collective success is more important than individual awards, but I am happy to be nominated for the award for the second time."
He added: "Everyone knows that Salem Al-Dossari loves challenges, and if I win the award, it will be a strong motivation for me, and each hard worker will get their share."
He explained: "True that I have achieved many records, but every new record will be a motivation for me to help the national team and the club, and every upcoming day in my career will be faced with full strength, and age is just a number, and the whole world must know what a Saudi player can offer."
He concluded his statements on this matter by saying: "The best players in the world play under great pressure, and my concern yesterday was the national team's qualification for the World Cup."
It is worth mentioning that the 34-year-old player has participated in 6 matches with Al Hilal since the beginning of the current season, during which he scored one goal and provided three decisive assists.
