Minister of Religious Affairs Inaugurates AlFath Mosque of the 40th Brigade

Khaberni - The Minister of Religious Affairs and Islamic Sanctuaries, Dr. Mohammad Al-Khalayleh, inaugurated today, Wednesday, the Al-Fath Mosque (King Hussein Bin Talal's Royal Armored Brigade/40) in Al-Sharq City, Zarqa Governorate, which was rebuilt at the expense of the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army.
Dr. Al-Khalayleh stated that mosques in every military unit are a testament to the religious character of the Arab Army, which rightfully earned the title "Remnant of the Mustafa Army,” as named by its founder King Abdullah I, may God bless his soul, praising the role of the Jordanian Armed Forces in spreading religious awareness and connecting its members to the teachings of the Holy Quran in both conduct and values.
Attendees praised the efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, and His Royal Highness Prince Hassan Bin Talal, in the reconstruction and restoration of Al-Fath Mosque due to its historical significance.
Dr. Al-Khalayleh also referred to the heroics and sacrifices of the Mustafa Army and the martyrs in battles of honor and valor on the soils of Jordan and Palestine, their gallantry in defending the walls of the Holy Al-Quds, and what the King Hussein Bin Talal's Royal Armored Brigade/40 contributed on the Golan Heights grounds in defense of the nation and its causes, deriving its strength from the Hashemite leadership and its legitimacy extended to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
He affirmed the ministry's commitment to denouncing extremism and ideological rigor and confronting all attempts to excommunicate and mislead the people of Sunnah and the community, affecting the security, faith, and creed of the society, especially since Jordan adopts a path of moderation and temperance.
In turn, the Mufti of the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army, Dr. Hassan Al-Makhatreh, explained that the mosque was established in 1963 on a hill within the camps in Zarqa, where it was built by the Arab Army and was named (40th Brigade Mosque), serving as a testament to the armed forces' commitment to mosques and promoting tolerant beliefs, noble values, and virtuous ethics among its members.
In addition, Director of Zarqa Endowments Dr. Ahmad Al-Harahsheh, mentioned that the ministry leverages all its resources to care for mosques and supervise them and spread the values and principles of Islam, noting that the mosque is built on a land area of two dunams and with a building area of 450 square meters.
The opening was attended by the Governor of Zarqa, Firas Abu Qa'oud, and His Eminence Imam of the Hashemite Court Dr. Ahmad Al-Khalayleh, Chairman of Zarqa Municipality Committee Engineer Khaled Al-Khushman, Senator Dhaifallah Al-Qallab, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Dr. Abdullah Al-Aqeel, and a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Muftis.
