Khaberni - MangDang Technology, a robotics company based in Hong Kong, has launched its latest innovation, an AI-powered Santa Claus robot, designed to provide an educational and entertaining experience for children.

The robot allows children to talk with it and request the performance of many interactive activities, featuring visually attractive eyes and the ability to display varying emoticons according to the conversation, such as issuing an alarm sound when used as an alarm clock beside the bed.

The company explained that the robot has been available on the Kickstarter platform since October 7, and has received support from 40 investors to date, with plans for mass production and shipping to begin in November 2025. The project is open source, with a GitHub link to be released before shipping to provide children with programming and development tools.

The robot is available in two versions: HeySanta and HeySanta Pro, both featuring advanced capabilities including voice chat, voice control, smooth motion, and eye expression features in the Pro version. The robot is 12.8 inches tall and weighs about 0.5 kg, with the ability to be powered by a USB Type-C cable or AA batteries.

HeySanta also allows children to program the robot using a block-based coding system, enabling it to perform activities such as singing or storytelling, while its long-term memory gives the robot the ability to learn and understand users better as they interact with it more.

The company emphasized that the robot does not contain a camera, in order to preserve the privacy of children and the security of their data, while providing AI development tools and a platform to showcase children's creativity.

These innovations combine entertainment and education to provide a unique interactive experience for children in a safe and innovative environment.
