Khaberni - Actress Huda El Mufti officially joined the cast of the film "Shams Elzanaty 2" to portray the lead female role opposite star Mohamed Emam, in a new cinematic experience collaborating with director Ahmed Khaled Moussa.
Huda is expected to start shooting her scenes in the coming days, following the commencement of filming yesterday Tuesday in external locations.
The film features a large ensemble of actors, including Bassem Samra, Mahmoud Abdelmoghni, Mohamed Tharwat, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Khaled Anwar, Ahmed Abdelhamid, Sara Baraka, and Islam Khaled.
The work is inspired by the famous film of the same name which was presented by the superstar Adel Emam in 1991, where the events of the new version unfold fifteen years prior to the original film's events, revealing the early beginnings of the formation of the Zanaty squad that formed the crux of the story.
This project marks a reunion between Mohamed Emam and director Ahmed Khaled Moussa five years after the film "The Thief of Baghdad," which was released in 2020 and achieved significant success upon its release in Egyptian and Arab cinemas.
Starring in the film "The Thief of Baghdad" were Yasmin Raeis, Amina Khalil, Mohamed Abdelrahman (Tota), Fathy Abdel Wahab, Ahmed El Awadi, Bayoumi Fouad, Saad El Mokhtar, and Ahmed Rizk appeared as a special guest.
On another note, Huda El Mufti continues shooting her role in the film "Faten's Daughters," where she portrays the daughter of actress Yousra.
In this work, Huda appears wearing a hijab to match the character's nature and the social environment she belongs to within the context of the events.
The film crew has completed a significant portion of the film's scenes, paving the way for the final completion in the near future.
