Khaberni - The Monetary Authority has directed the banks operating in the Gaza Strip to start providing financial and banking services to the public from Thursday morning, in accordance with their technical and operational readiness.
And it confirmed in a statement on Wednesday that the process of reactivating bank branches will be gradual and phased, where a limited number of branches will be operated in the first phase according to their readiness, and it will subsequently announce other branches that will enter service according to rehabilitation plans.
The Monetary Authority has called on citizens to continue relying on available electronic payment methods, such as payment cards, electronic wallets, and banking applications on smartphones, due to the ease, security, and speed they provide in completing transactions, and to ensure meeting their needs without the necessity to crowd at the branches.
