Khaberni - Ayla Oasis Development Company supported the "Clean Up the World 2025" campaign launched by the Royal Marine Conservation Society of Jordan in the city of Aqaba, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Ali on Wednesday and Thursday.
This support, which Ayla continues to provide for the campaign's events, reflects its profound commitment to sustainability in the marine environment and the need to preserve vital components in a way that aligns with its social responsibility strategy, building cooperation bridges with the local community to enhance conservation efforts.
The campaign involved numerous environmental and tourism awareness-raising activities, in cooperation with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and Ayla Oasis Development, with the participation of official entities, local community representatives, the private and educational sectors, and in cooperation with diving centers.
The Ayla Diving Team participated in the diving activities and the underwater cleaning in the Al-Mamlaha area on the first day, attended by the chairman of the board of commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic zone Authority Engineer Shadi Majali representing Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Ali, and Director of Educational and Technical Affairs Dr. Hiyam Maayta representing Director of Education for Aqaba Governorate, and heads of security departments.
The events also saw participation from the Royal Jordanian Navy and Royal boats, diving teams from the Civil Defense Directorate, the Prince Hamzah Center for Marine Pollution Control, the Aqaba Diving Association, the Aqaba Port Management and Operation Company, the Aqaba Port Marine Services Company, and diving centers in the city of Aqaba and company:

The Executive Director of Ayla Oasis Development, Engineer Sahl Dudin, stated that Ayla was keen on active participation in this campaign with lofty goals and continues its leadership in supporting and sponsoring activities related to nature protection, noting that the "Clean Up the World 2025" campaign is one of the significant global initiatives aimed at highlighting Jordan's role in nature protection and ensuring our beaches are at their best, reaffirming our commitments to a green future for upcoming generations.
He added that Ayla took the initiative in launching natural resource protection programs and maintaining its leadership in environmental sustainability, which has been one of the core values it has relied on over the past two decades, following the global approach of implementing best environmental practices and developing a multi-dimensional strategy focused on conserving marine and terrestrial wildlife, reaching to migratory birds and specialized activities like recycling, adopting green energy, reducing emissions, and environmental education.
On his part, the Secretary-General and acting Executive Director of the Royal Marine Conservation Society of Jordan, Engineer Khaled Al-Kurdi, highlighted that this year's campaign was distinguished by its multiple partnerships with the private sector by focusing on the role of corporate social responsibility in marine environmental protection and companies' commitment to supporting sustainable environmental practices that help preserve marine resources and reduce pollution, thus supporting marine biodiversity and ensuring the sustainability of these resources for future generations.
The campaign witnessed the participation of more than 800 volunteers from various official, security, environmental, tourism, cultural, and community sectors, alongside 18 environmental schools from Aqaba's government and private schools, and 40 divers from different diving institutions and centers.
The "Clean Up the World 2025" campaign included more than one location on the shores of the city of Aqaba and involved underwater cleaning at the southern beach on the first day at the Al-Mamlaha site and Ayla Marina on the second day tomorrow Thursday, with sorting and weighing of waste with the participation of volunteers

It is noteworthy that the selection of Ayla as one of the stages of the "Clean Up the World 2025" campaign came due to its full commitment to preserving natural life in its corridors, as it is considered an exemplary model in the balanced approach between multi-use urban development and investment and environmental sustainability, preserving natural resources in planning and execution phases.
