Khaberni - Cairo Amman Bank and the German Jordanian University have renewed the special agreement to convert university identity into a multi-functional smart banking card for university students and members of the faculty and administrative bodies, as part of the ongoing partnership between the two sides.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Kamal Al-Bakri, the CEO of the bank, and Professor Dr. Ala Aldeen Al-Halhouli, the President of the university.
The smart card allows its users to benefit from a range of advanced financial and electronic services, including withdrawal and payment at points of sale both inside and outside Jordan, as well as for online shopping, and cash withdrawals,
from ATMs. The card can also be linked to the bank's electronic application to facilitate account management, in addition to being used as a university identification and for paying university fees. The smart card also provides its holders the ability to benefit from Mastercard global offers and local and international payment companies.
Note that the card can be easily topped up through Cairo Amman Bank branches spread throughout the kingdom or via the bank's LINC application or through dedicated Kiosk devices.
It is noteworthy that the adoption of smart cards by Jordanian universities reflects the bank's leadership in this field and its commitment to supporting digital transformation in the academic sector and enhancing the culture of financial inclusion among the youth.
