Khaberni - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority, through the Internal Control Unit, the Watershed Directorate, and the Central Workshops Directorate, in collaboration with the Jordan Water Company “Miyahuna”, and with support from the Public Security Directorate and the Gendarmerie Forces, conducted an intensive field campaign to remove encroachments on water lines and networks in several areas of the kingdom.
During the campaign, (15) encroachments on a (2-inch) diameter water line sourced from a main (6-inch) diameter line in the Eastern Dheibeh area were removed, accompanied by the Muwaqqar Security Center, where these violations were used to supply areas in violation of the law.
Also, an illegal water line in the Ain Al-Basha area was seized, along with cases of tampering with water meters in the Bilal - Wadi Al-Seer area, in addition to seizing an illegal water line feeding one of the houses in the Joueideh area in the capital, Amman.
The Ministry confirmed that these efforts are part of the ongoing national campaign to remove encroachments on water lines and protect their sources, stating that encroaching on the networks is a clear violation of the law, and that it will take the necessary legal actions against the violators, praising the efforts of the security agencies in supporting its staff during these campaigns.
