Khaberni - As part of Amman Arab University's commitment to enhancing student participation in all local and international events, and affirming the university students' excellence in the fields of technology and innovation, Amman Arab University participated in the fourth National Sumo Robotics Championship organized by Al-Hussein Technical University, with the participation of over (230) teams representing universities, schools, companies, and educational and technological institutions across the kingdom.
Four student teams from the university participated in the championship, supervised by the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University, represented by engineer Ya'qub Al-Qara'een from the Technical Support and Digital Manufacturing section. This participation is a result of continuous efforts that reflect the university's dedication to enabling its students to engage in practical experiences in the fields of robotics, innovation, and artificial intelligence, as part of the university's vision aimed at empowering students with modern applied skills to enhance their spirit of innovation and teamwork.
The distinguished four student teams participating in the championship included Team MechaMinds, which comprises students from the College of Information Technology: Abeer Fayez, Noor Al-Nasaireh, Huda Hammad, and Team 7Oct, which includes students Ahmad Yo, Nawras bin Tarif from the College of Aviation Sciences, Jihad Ouda, and Ali Shaheen from the College of Information Technology, and Team TriNova, consisting of students from the College of Information Technology: Sundus Kayali, Aroub Ghanem, and Reema Aql, in addition to Team Lore, which includes students from the College of Information Technology: Ahmad Nebras, Bisan Asmaran, Rama Raed, and Youssef Yassin. This participation embodies the advanced level that Amman Arab University students have reached in the fields of technology and innovation and reflects the university's commitment to enabling them to apply theoretical knowledge in practical projects that enhance their creative and technical skills.
It should be noted that the participating teams delivered an outstanding performance in various stages of the competition and managed to achieve advanced positions after a strong competition with a number of participating universities, especially since this participation is the first of its kind, where participants experienced a distinctive journey that endowed them with many new skills and involved them in an exciting competitive atmosphere, motivating and providing an opportunity for knowledge enrichment and practical application.
